I know from personal experience what goes into balancing an intense physical workout with the demands of a high-pressure career and personal life. For more than 25 years, I’ve helped busy professionals and athletes, train smarter, perform stronger, and stay injury-free without sacrificing their time, career or well-being.As a hybrid athlete and now-retired Ironman World Championship competitor, I lived the demands of an endurance training program while upholding professional and personal commitments. I know well the frustration of programs that do not fit within the schedule of one’s very own life, injuries from training completely inappropriate for the body, and mental slumps that hold others back. My coaching philosophy is pretty simple: science-backed, real-world-tested, and built for the long journey ahead.
It’s more than just physical performance; there’s mental toughness and discipline involved, and through my journey, I’ve come to learn true endurance is not about how far or fast you can go but about building strength that endures for a lifetime. This passion for resilience inspired me to create The Sober Athlete Podcast, where I share insights into mental toughness, overcoming roadblocks, and ways to build sustainable training. Be it from personal issues in the past, entering a new goal for fitness, or simply looking for a new, smarter way to train; my goal is to enable you to develop strength you will not easily lose—both physical and mental.
